COUP FEATHERS

Sioux and other Plains Nations warriors were entitled to wear Eagle Feathers, often painted to show bravery and past deeds.  Personal bravery is highly prized and these feathers were marks of distinction.  Coup feathers may be added to regalia, lances or staffs.

Our feathers are made with hand painted replica Eagle Feathers.  The Quill is wrapped in red wool and tied with buckskin.

Feathers are approximately 13 to 15 inces long, depending on available feathers.
